When a band celebrates 50 years of pure metal attitude, you don’t do it quietly and Twisted Sister clearly understand that.
The news was announced via Twisted Sister socials:
“Twisted Sister members Jay Jay French and Eddie Ojeda are thrilled to announce that iconic vocalist and frontman Sebastian Bach will be fronting the band for a handful of select dates this fall”
For their 50th anniversary shows, the legendary glam metal icons have recruited none other than Sebastian Bach as guest vocalist and yes, metal fans everywhere just did a double take.
Best known as the unmistakable voice behind Skid Row late ‘80s classics, Bach brings the range, the scream and the larger-than-life presence needed to tackle anthems like “We’re Not Gonna Take It” and “I Wanna Rock”. While nothing can replace the iconic snarl of Dee Snider, this collaboration feels less like a replacement and more like a celebration of metal brotherhood.
With Twisted Sister officially retired from full-time touring, these anniversary performances are shaping up to be something special, a tribute to five decades of hairspray, hooks and heavy riffs.
The big question for fans:
Can Sebastian Bach put his own stamp on these timeless anthems or do some songs forever belong to Dee?
Either way, one thing’s certain – the 50th anniversary just got a whole lot louder.
With Bach on vocals colliding with Twisted Sister arena-sized anthems, these anniversary shows could turn into one of the most talked-about classic metal celebrations of the decade.
