The rock world mourns the loss of Phil Campbell the legendary guitarist best known for his decades long tenure with Motörhead. Joining the band in 1984 Campbell became a driving force behind their unmistakable sound, binging the razor-sharp riffs and high-octane solos that defined classics from “Orgasmatron” to 1916 and beyond.
Alongside the late Lemmy Kilmister, Campbell helped carry Motörhead uncompromising spirit across generations, proving night after night that volume, speed and attitude never go out of style. His gritty tone and no-nonsense playing made him one of metal most respected and underrated guitar heroes.
After Motörhead final chapter Campbell continued to perform with Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons sharing the stage with his sons and keeping the band rebellious legacy alive for new fans.
Tributes from across the metal community highlight not just his musicianship, but his warmth, humor and dedication to the music he loved. Though he’s gone the thunder of his riffs will continue to roar through speakers worldwide loud, proud and immortal. 🖤
