James Hetfield the legendary frontman of Metallica is well-known for his rock star persona, but it hasn’t prevented the “Master of Puppets” singer from being real and even expressing affection for man’s best friend.
Hetfield has made the kind decision to donate some well-earned free time to a worthy cause. A Charity Buzz listing states that one lucky fan will get to have supper with the legendary member of the metal community but the opportunity is not cheap.
Hetfield is putting himself up for a unique dinner experience as part of the Adaptive Sports Foundation’s fundraising auction to benefit the charity. There are a few requirements. Denver Colorado is the required location for the dinner and the bidding begins at $31,000.
The auction winner may set the date of the dinner within a year of placing the winning bid. They will have three months from the auction’s end to make the arrangements. The winner gets to invite up to three others to the almost two-hour supper, take a picture to commemorate the event and have Hetfield to sign any memento of their choosing (within reason).
The winner will have to pay for Hetfield’s supper as well as the meals of an ASF athlete and a staff person in addition to the winning offer. This may be your opportunity if you’re prepared to take on the challenge—and the expense.
