News: Appetite for New Music – Guns N’ Roses New Single

Tom Mayhue, Guns N’ Roses longtime production manager, has announced that the band will release a new song shortly.

Mayhue spoke to the media before of Guns N’ Roses July 13 concert in Paris, France and addressed the band future intentions. Noting that Guns N’ Roses North American leg of their tour will conclude in mid-October, he continued: “And I know the band’s gonna start working on new music”. They’ve already recorded a lot of material. As a result, new GN’R songs will be available very shortly. In fact, I believe they’re attempting to release a single any day now, so you may hear something very, very soon”.

Mayhue commented on the new Guns N’ Roses material, saying, “It sounds great”. It’s a lot more “Appetite For Destruction” focused. They have a large number of songs. When the band first went in to record “Appetite For Destruction” I believe they recorded around 29 songs. So there’s a lot of extra music that didn’t make it onto the first LP. “I believe the first record only has 11 songs”.

Last month, Oslo’s Urban Sound Studios published a new photo of Rose and Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash. Which was purportedly shot the day after the band’s performance at Norway’s capital city’s Tonnes Of Rock event.

On June 22, the photo was shared on the Urban Sound Studios Instagram account. With the caption: “We got to hang out with these 2 rock legends in the studio today. Really cool guys! (The two in the middle…). The band wanted a nice studio with a variety of speakers and headphones to listen to new mixes before they head for Glastonbury. It sounds awesome!”
