Skyforia Unleash New Single “What A Day” Ahead of Second Album

Cardiff’s SKYFORIA are back with a fresh dose of big riffs, groove and hard rock attitude. The band new single “What A Day” was released on October 1st, 2026, giving fans a first taste of their upcoming second album “We Are The Dead” due on Halloween 2026.

Formed during the 2020 lockdown by childhood friends Rory McCaffer and Craig Griffith, SKYFORIA grew from a shared love of bands like Soundgarden, Tool and The Smashing Pumpkins. What started with a socially distanced beer on Penarth beach and an idea to cover Chris Cornell’s “Islands of Summer” eventually turned into something much bigger.

Once studios reopened, the pair discovered they had plenty more to say and SKYFORIA was born.

Their debut album “Away With Our Destroyers” arrived on Halloween 2023, followed by several EPs, including the eight-minute metal-heavy “Stevie One Note”.

Now, “What A Day” opens the next chapter. With “We Are The Dead” arriving this Halloween, SKYFORIA are ready to turn up the riffs once again.

Big riffs. Heavy grooves. Cardiff attitude. SKYFORIA are back.
