Galder Departs Dimmu Borgir After Nearly 25 Years, Revives Old Man’s Child

Galder has announced his departure from Dimmu Borgir ending an incredible 24-year run with the legendary Norwegian symphonic black metal band. With Galder’s departure Dimmu Borgir will have lost a significant member of a band that was known for its dark, atmospheric sound and for his exquisite guitar work.

However, a chapter ends and a new one starts. Galder is bringing his fabled project “Old Man’s Child” back to life. Old Man’s Child is recognisable to black metal enthusiasts due to its unique combination of melancholic intensity and eerie atmospheres.
