A Sci-Fi Trip Beyond the Ordinary
Not every metal project wants to take you down the usual road. Fetus Cosmos has something different in mind. Mixing sci-fi, techno, metal and pop, this project takes its inspiration from alien invasions, human cloning, extraterrestrial encounters and futuristic technology. And yes, things get a little strange!
Something Alien Is Going On
“Alien Inside” originally appeared on Fetus Cosmos self-titled debut album, released on July 29, 2011. At just 3 minutes and 22 seconds, it’s the second track on the album, which also includes “We’re Not Alone”, “Intruders”, “Telepathic” and “Techno Jesus”.
The project comes from Oak Park, Illinois and Roswell, New Mexico. And if that second location makes you think of UFOs, well, you can probably guess where some of the inspiration comes from!
Still Out There After All These Years
More than a decade after its original release, “Alien Inside” is finding its way back onto indie and internet radio rotations. The band has also been keeping its visual and sonic projects alive through its social channels.
It’s always good to see older music getting another spin instead of disappearing into the endless pile of releases.
If sci-fi themes, strange sounds and music that doesn’t stick to one genre are your thing, Fetus Cosmos might be worth checking out.
Give “Alien Inside” a listen and see what comes from the other side.
