Released on November 18, 1988 “Kings of Metal” stands as the sixth album from the iconic American heavy metal band Manowar. This album marked the departure of guitarist and founding member Ross “The Boss” Friedman, who later found his way back to the punk band The Dictators. Additionally, drummer Scott Columbus bid farewell to the band after this album, only to return for the powerful 1996 release “Louder Than Hell” and continue his journey with Manowar until 2008.
